Yours truly right here Bill!

 Grin

You mention I10, so I assume you mean all the way through El Paso, up to Albuquerque, and so north? I'll tell you right now that that was the route taking home last year and it was AWFUL.

Never mind the trek between San Antonio and El Paso, cause any Texan knows that's a chore. But all of New Mexico is about the worse drive I've ever made in my life -- especially through the Navajo Reserve. Dirt, mountains, dirt, hill, some random school, more dirt, random adobe building, casino in the middle of nowhere, and more dirt. It's really drains the driver.

Not to mention fuel stops are few and very far between, which also means places to stop and stretch the legs or relieve oneself is also -- or help if you need it. Save yourself the agony my friend and avoid that route.

I'll be headed out of here on Friday (21) and crashing somewhere in Amarillo that night. Then Saturday  I'm headed through Colorado and staying at a thenewX.org member's house (John aka Creek) that night and then caravaning with about ten trucks on Sunday out to Moab.

If you still have my number, just give me a ring or email me at

. Or we can talk a bit at the next Houston area M&G -- I'll make it this time, I promise.
